Alma Lusa is a Portuguese food brand. Under the umbrella of Fine Drinks, Alma Lusa seeks to represent, through the quality of its products, the traditional and gastronomic heritage of Portugal. Originally with some wine on the market with the same name, Alma Lusa, aims to be a reference mark in the flavors of Portugal.
Our concept was based on the portugality and the rich heritage that our country disposes not only on the gastronomical but also on the architectural level. In this direction our inspiration comes from the Portuguese tiles as a starting point to build the visual identity.
Through typography we seek that the communication to reflect the spirit of the ceramic tile and could, depending on application requirements, lead to different patterns always with formal and chromatic influence on traditional elements of Portuguese architecture.
The first produced labels for Alma Lusa wine, from the Setubal region, show that formal and chromatic potential of the tile. Given the success of the first wines produced on the market, Alma Lusa reinforced the launch of new wines with the varieties of the Lisbon region, where we followed the same concept and we opted for the formal use of portuguese cobblestone pavement.
